Ignition Coils

Premier Gear is Professional Grade

Engineered for Quality

Premier Gear Ignition Coils are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed the standards of the original equipment unit we are replacing. Premier Gear Ignition Coils are completely new manufactured, using high-quality, tested and inspected components. Nothing is remanufactured or previously used. An ignition coil plays a key role in the performance of the engine. The ignition coil  transforms the battery’s low voltage to the thousands of volts needed to create an electric spark in the spark plugs to ignite the fuel.

Automotive and Light Truck Applications

100% Critical component testing on the following:

  • 100% new product
  • Engineered to match original equipment
  • Ensures a perfect fit and hassle-free installation

Premier Gear Ignition Coils

  • Coils are properly insulated to prevent shorts between the windings under harsh operating conditions
  • Designed to create a strong magnetic field that produces high voltage output at all speeds

How To Recognize a Bad Ignition Coil

#1 – Backfiring

Backfiring can indicate early ignition coil failure.

#2 – Engine Misfiring

Engine misfiring will be seen in a vehicle whose ignition coils have failed.

#3 – Vehicle Stalling

This can occur because of the irregular sparks sent to the spark plugs by the faulty coil. May also cause engine to shut down.

#4 – Engine Rough idling, Poor Power

Another symptom is rough idling of the engine, jerking, and hesitating while accelerating. Noticeable loss of power when driving.

#5 – Check Engine Light On / DTC Code

Often, the check engine light will turn on in your dash.

#6 – Engine Hard Starting

Hard to start engine is a symptom that the coil has a malfunction. It means the engine will be cranking without sparks inside the cylinders.
